Keep It Fun

Too many people get carried away with training and forget that we train to get better at sport. Don't get me wrong I love training but I train to perform better at my sports. Everyday my back is getting stronger so I've started adding more sports into my training as well.

On Friday I went to the bouldering wall and climbed pretty solidly for about an hour. After a 2 month break from climbing I was pretty disappointed with how quickly my arms were pumped but at least my back held up and I got some great training in. My forearms are still burning even now so I need to make sure I get back next week. I spent the last 10mins doing static holds and some ab work to try and build up my strength even when i'm gassed out.

It seem's like summer is definitely on it's way and so i'm looking at getting my own kettlebell to take my wods outside but more on this soon. For now I'm just trying to get outside when I can! This morning was an early start for an awesome xc mountain biking blast around Heldon Forest. It was great to get back on a bike and a shock with some of those lung busting hills but definitely worth the early start.
